I have two classes this term where I will end the term having no idea how I did, on anything I have ever handed in. This prof is going to give me an ulcer.
But now, with an americano in the coffee shop like a second home, some baroque music streaming, two books on restorative justice, with my beard at a socially unacceptable length (but it is not long as much as it is a face explosion of hair...
Overwhelming thoughts about the political individual. I feel like I need to understand why. Why do we create this dualism, why do we form our political identity through othering. Is there, in our day, any other way of self-identifying that is more important than the political? The finger pointing, the lack of mutual respect, the scheming and the rhetoric, all of the time, every waking day....
My European beer tour has been such a disappointment. Except for the Okocim, they all just taste and look like Canadian. The Okocim was by far my favourite, but even then it’s not that great.
One beer left, Faxe Amber from Denmark. I’m skeptical, but being the only non-pilsner/lager type beer, I’m hoping for a nice change-up. To be drank tomorrow night.

So I’ll spend my days growing in musicianship, with the dream of one day having a small little house studio or something. I’ll focus on the banjo, on electronic music, on fooling around on the guitar, and recording ideas that come and go so quickly. I think the thing I love most about music is the possibilities.
