When I get back to that beige wall cave

four glasses of wine later,
well, as red as the wine from sleepless road trips and sun soaked sand and waves washing me up and crashing me down and spinning my heavy body like the shells further up.
Now with Tallest Man On Earth softly, family playing Scattergories, floating through this past summer in my mind, thinking of Amory Blaine and if we would get along like he does with Holiday.
Drove the 1-630am shift from Breezewood, PA to Norfolk, VA and saw a lot of trees in the darkness.
But I am here with my family, it’s a home away from home. The clouds are massive over the sound and I’ll never escape the way this house smells.
